Clinical signs of Foot and Mouth Disease - Pigs

Photos of first reported case

Photographs of the first reported case of Foot and Mouth in 2001. (1 March 2001).

Three photos of FMD lesions in pigs taken on 20 February 2001 by Craig Kirby, OVS, at the first slaughterhouse case. The early reporting of disease at abattoirs emphasises the importance of veterinary surveillance carried out by the Meat Hygiene Service.
