(48 KB) highlighting progress on the worlds largest Ram Semen Archive
is available.
26 May 2006 - A new leaflet explaining how Rare Breed
breeders can partake in both the RBST
Semen Archive and the NSP/NISP Semen Archive
(188 KB) has been published. 
The list of currently eligible breeds has been updated. Information regarding appeals against non inclusion is also available. This sets out the criteria the Semen Archive Management Board will have regard to in considering appeals against non inclusion from a Breed Society.
11 April 2006 - "No
Cost…..No Catch"
(100 KB) - A leaflet giving information on the incentives available to
owners and breed societies whose rams donate to the Archive. A Welsh
language version
(101 KB) is available.
20 March 2006 - Since February 2006 a £50
payment is being made to the owner of any eligible (non ARR/ARR) ram that
has successfully contributed semen to the Archive: Greater Incentives

17 October 2005 - An advert 'We
need your help'
(765 KB) which highlights the required ram genotypes has been published
in farming and breed society journals. If you would like it, or an editorial
on the Archive placed in your publication please contact the Archive Breed

17 October 2005 - A flyer 'Your
rams are worth cash'
(757 KB) reminds sheep breed societies and sheep breeders that there are
financial benefits for them both in nominating donor rams for the Archive.

you ram eligable for both semen archives?'
(203 KB) - A leaflet has been published explaining how rams can donate
to both the Rare Breeds Survival Trust's ReGENEration Archive as well
as the NSP/NISP Semen Archive. Copies are available from the Archive breed

17 October 2005 - A slide
presentation was given at the National Sheep Association's annual forum
of Breed Societies
(2.76 MB - Please note this is a very large file) held in Worcester on
13th October 2005. It was delivered by the NSA Chairman and one of the
Archive Breed Liaison Managers. It highlights the importance of the Archive
to industry and the incentives available to Societies and breeders to
nominate donor rams.
15 September 2005 - SAMB welcome a range
of new incentives to encourage the nomination of donor rams, a publication
