Sheep
Activities of the (England) Sheep Health and Welfare Council
The EIG has encouraged livestock sectors to take a coordinated and strategic approach to health and welfare to meet their own ends while supporting the delivery of the overarching Animal Health and Welfare Strategy (AHWS) for Great Britain 
(1.2 MB).
In response, representatives of the sheep industry have formed the Sheep Health and Welfare Council, which met for the first time on 18 December 2007.
The Sheep Health and Welfare Council has published an action plan (16KB) based on the group’s own priorities for intervention.
