IINs – Live birds, hatching eggs and SPF eggs

Whilst every attempt is made to keep information notes current, import conditions may change and importers are responsible for checking the current requirements

Importer Information Notes (IINs) contain details of the conditions for import of live animals / products of animal origin.

  • IIN PT/EU/1- Importation of live poultry from other EU Member States into England
  • IIN PTTC/2- Importation of live poultry from third countries (countries outside the EU) into England
  • IIN EGHE/1- Importation of hatching eggs and day-old chicks from EU Member States
  • IIN EGHE/2 – Importation of hatching eggs and day-old chicks from third countries
  • IIN CBEU/1 – Importation of captive birds from other EU Member States into England
  • IIN CBTC/2- Importation of captive birds from third countries (countries outside the EU) into England
  • IIN PBEU/1- Importation of pet birds from other EU Member States into England
  • IIN PBTC/1- Importation of pet birds from third countries into England
  • IIN SPF/1 – importation of Specified Pathogen Free (SPF) eggs into England from countries outside of the EU (Third Countries)
  • IIN BTC/2 - Importation of birds from third countries (not covered by the captive birds regulation) into England
