Efishbusiness website merged into Defra’s
The Efishbusiness website - run by the Fish Health Inspectorate at Cefas, Environment Agency and Welsh Assembly Government - has merged into Defra’s. This completes the government’s Transformational Government Website Rationalisation (TGWR) programme.
The TGWR initiative was launched several years ago to rationalise and reduce the number of government websites to make information easier to find for the public.
Main changes
The Efishbusiness website has been renamed to “Aquatic Animal Health and Movements” to better reflect the content it covers. Also the original web address of www.efishbusiness.co.uk has been replaced with a new one: www.defra.gov.uk/aahm.
Automatic redirection is already in place, and will remain for a year. Website visitors are immediately redirected to the correct new page when they arrive at any page within the former Efishbusiness website. Once this happens, you may find it easier to bookmark this new site for your next visit.
Therefore the old Efishbusiness website is now inactive, but an archive of the site can be viewed through the National Archives catalogues and online records. This is a snapshot of the website on the 1 February 2011.
Content updates
All guides and downloadable content remain the same but have been updated and streamlined. Our guidance for businesses is also now available at Business Link. Also over the next few months more functionality will be added to this site – such as searching.
We have tried to minimise any impact to our visitors, but if you do find that you’re inconvenienced or cannot find the information you are after, please contact the Fish Health Inspectorate.
